We have extensive advance Microsoft Excel development experience. We can create turn-key applications by creating custom menus, forms, reports. These applications can completely hide the Excel menus and UI, only presenting the application specific UI to the user.
Of course, we can also do less complex Excel tasks as well.

Marine Logistics Application
The client wanted the back-end data to be in SQL server, the front-end in Microsoft Excel. These requirements were because these were the tools readily available to the enterprise.
Functional requirements
- Vessel Consumables Resupply Audit: Each ship types must be able to record and report back to a port what resupplies they will need for the next trip.
- Warehouse Management: Processing shipping picklist and management of stock numbers.
- Supplier Lists: List of suppliers for each warehouse, cost per items etc.
- Purchasing System: Automatic issue of purchase orders when warehouse stock is low.
Contruction
- Custom application ribbon menu.
- User Logon system with group policy that determine which parts of the system could be accessed.
- Snapshots of fact tables (from SQL Server) shown that can only be changed using custom forms.
- Custom Forms used for all viewing, adding and editing records.
- SQL backend stores all data.
- Only access to SQL Server is via queries in the Excel Front-end.
- Truely multi-user, client-server architecture.
- No third party tools for any of the contructionu which meant deployment did not any licencing issues.

Other Applications
Aircrew Quality Assurance System
Excel based front-end with an SQL server backend. This application collected a range of quality data, this data was uploaded to the SQL Server database were analysis was performed to see if there was any quality drift.
Monty Carlo Trading Simulation
Excel based Monty Carlo simulator for trading based on statistical data gathered on a system. The system allowed a range of position sizes to entered to determine what where the various probabilities of failure and profits.
Freedom of Information (FOI) Tracking System
Excel based system to track (FOI) requests and ensuring workflow is meeting legal timeframes. It also reported on that status of each FOI requests for reports for management.
